A practical starting point for your remortgage conversation: your current mortgage, your finances and your priorities.

General information · Updated 9 October 2026
Start with your own priorities
Think about what you want to achieve, your preferred timetable and any changes in your household or working life. There is no need to choose a lender before speaking to us.
Gather your mortgage details
Bring a recent mortgage statement and information about your current product, including when it ends. Your adviser can explain which details are needed to understand your starting point.
Prepare a current financial picture
Tell us about your income, regular spending, other borrowing and anything that has changed since your last application. We will explain the documents to provide and the appropriate way to send them.
Bring questions to the conversation
Ask about how the recommendation fits your plans and what the application involves. We explain our service, fees and the proposed next steps before you decide to proceed.
Stay informed through the application
Respond to document requests, review the mortgage illustration and offer conditions, and ask about anything you do not understand. The lender makes the final decision on eligibility and approval.
This guide is general information, not a personalised mortgage recommendation. Mortgage eligibility, costs and product features depend on your circumstances and the lender. Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
Your next step starts with a conversation.
Tell us what you’re planning. We’ll help you understand the options and explain what comes next.
